You haven't told us quite enough to form an opinion to my thinking. I had a psychiatrist who talked frankly about sex but I don't think he was crossing any boundaries or violating any ethics code. He was basically overexplaining that sexuality is human instinct and we don't control who we are sexually attracted to.
What your therapist was doing may have been different. Not enough info to say. If you've related specifics to your current therapist and he/she thinks what was said was worth reporting then I think you should follow up on that. On the other hand, if you spoke in generalities and the current therapist said if you feel like there were inappropriate things said then you should consider reporting it that's not so easy to give advice on.
There are certainly therapists like that out there but just from reading posts here over the years I have found that there are patients/clients who share the blame. You describe him as vile so I don't think that's what happened here.
In the end it's up to you... I don't think it should matter if the therapist knows you reported him. Good luck.
