Would it help to print out the page and tackle it sentence by sentence, maybe putting each sentence in your own words/commands? How about reading some of it aloud into a recorder (or your computer)? If someone tells you instructions you say you can learn them; maybe that will work for your to "tell" the page.
There's lots of courses on CD? If I were going to do a computer course in your situation, I'd find one with numbered "lists" of things to learn/do?
I had to redo a lesson once and was bored and thought I'd covered it all, etc. so I took the lesson and converted it into poetry! Took me 10+ hours for a little 1-hour exercise but hey, I really learned that lesson! :-) Convert the words to something else you understand better; find "different" symbols that work better for you than written words?
