It just seems like anything I attempt to do - I end up just tossing out the window regardless of how much it helps, or how much easier it makes things.
THE reason for ALL it it - loss of privacy - I just totally REFUSE to give up any of it in any situation for any reason - and that's it! That goes back at least as far as when I was in 7th grade (and I think before that too, but can not remember back that far) - at that time, if I needed to leave the classroom for any reason at all I would go directly to the nearest exit, walk out of the building, go around to find another enterance close to where I needed to go, and re-enter the building at that point then move fast - this was even with no coat in the middle of winter. - Why? - Specifically to avoid even being ask anything by anyone. You also could not get me to use any medication while in school. - Why? - Because there rules said all medication had to be handled by the nurse - that meant that at least she know (and most likely told teachers) what it was and what it was for - BUT there were not treating anything therefore I was NOT about to do things that way. Oh A handful of times I did use something while at school, but most likely wold have ended up suspended if anyone noticed. Why? - Because the only way that happened is if the school was not told anything and the bottle stayed in my pocket!
After I had gradated High-School things actually got worst in that reguard - even when the economy was good work was hard to get and be satisfied with it. Well, the work itself maybe, but the verry second an employer wanted any sort of medical info - regardless of why - that was it - I ABSOLUTELY did not wish to work there one more minute!
And I DEFINITELY consider even a stupid drug test to be medically privileged info. And if you argue safety reason (meaning if someone is actually under the influence while working) I will tell you then test for actual intoxication at specific times - it is ONLY there business if it is on there time - and sorry I don't care who says what but the marijuana someone smoked 2 weeks ago is not going to have any effect today, but a drug test will still show it. And I also herd the argument that if you are on the level you will pass as long as you declare everything you have a valid prescription for - BUT that in itself is a problem for me - just like in school - you then have people that are not treating anything knowing about it, and that could reveal what problems you have. Want a way around it and satisfy me? - I'll tell you - let the workers own doctor do it - BUT under the provision that the employer is NOT given any specifics (meaning NOT the full tox report!) just is it "normal" or not. And that would mean perscribed on not - if every test taken in the last several years had a positive for cocaine, and so dose the one take for the employer - it is "normal" for that person.
But it's not just medical (as hinted on) it's pretty much anything revealing what I consider information not required in order to accomplish whatever. So basically as far as I am concerned - the ONLY thing an employer has any right knowing about is the actual job proformnace - not off job drug use, not driving record (Unless the job involves driving one of the company vehicles), exc.
And now even online you can't do a lot and still at least keep it anonymous. Especially on big social networking sites! - That came up basically after a different site had pretty much pushed my in to facebook (No I never had an account there or twitter) in order to help promote something I was trying to do on there site - NOW I really want to just forget the whole thing because looking at all the facebook settings - there is now way to prevent your real life name from being revealed on it - unless you just make one up that looks real - but then you risk getting TOSed anyway. So.....
