I cherish the rare moments I am alone. I am with teenagers literally 24 hours a day, usually in large groups of them, and then I come home to my own. Don't get me wrong; I love them, but I kill for "me" time. I have found a really happy medium though. I've learned that I can have me time doing things with other people than my students and family: chorus, church choir, Bible study. I've found those activities very self nurturing while also being interactive. The best of both worlds.
