I was first diagnosed bipolar. I had psychosis outside episodes, but my first pdoc (along with telling me I was smelling/hearing/ etc ghosts) and then PA then inpatient pdoc kept telling me I was depressed. Excuse me, but I know when I'm depressed. Luckily, I have a pdoc who listens now.
