Yes, I always think it's interesting to re-watch films (and re-read books) that I had a strong reaction to when I was younger, to see what has changed. Just because I don't like a film (or a book) doesn't mean it's bad, of course. There are many films I've seen where I've recognised that it is actually a very good film, I just didn't like it. Conversely, I enjoy things that I realise aren't actually very good.
I have a friend who is a vet, and he watched some horror slasher movie where somebody pulled a kidney out of a person... my friend recognised it as a calf kidney (I think he said it was a calf) and he started laughing really hard. Other people sidled away from him after that.
