You should remove it and use napkins for the remainder of this period, as internal scratches make it more possible for a person to develop Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). There should be some info on the package insert, or else google it. You might want to use some ky jelly or some benign lubricant to insert them next time. Also they shouldnt be used if you are too dry, like towards the end of your period. Take care.
