Teacup381, I have been on Escitalopram in the past and my end dose was 20 mg. It sounds like your prescriber has started you on a low dose which is good since it is a SSRI and inhibits the reuptake of serotonin. I did not have any problems with acid, being sleepy or headaches as I was started on 10 mg and eventually was increased to 20 mg. I would contact your prescriber about these issues. It could be your stress and the current reasons that you were put on the medication or sometimes certain meds are not right for us. Usually early side affects do go away but if you are suffering I would make that call. Hope you feel better.
