It was a scarf or rather a shawl (typical type for that country she travelled to plus it was a color scheme I often wear) I wear scarves all the time and so does she. She presented it by saying she got something for me in her travels. It was a friendly gesture. I buy people souvenirs quite often. I just didn't know if it is normal.
