There are ways to help ourselves despite our childhood. Choices we make now, self care, meaning. Working through past traumas and neglect and finding different ways of responding. Brains are changed by trauma, but they are also plastic and we have more influence on it than Big Pharma would like us to realize. Even for psychosis. Body mind, environment and genes all go together and each one of us is unique

Its true. The chemical imbalance reasoning was a guess and as this post states. .the medical community really has no clue. Meds help but coping skills help as well ESPECIALLY for trauma

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning, I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
Thanks for this!
