If it turns out that these tags are easier to use in a text-mode editing box than in a WYSIWYG one, this is what the control for switching between editor modes looks like. You'll find it to the upper right of the box where you type your post or reply:

if you type in the code it looks the same with either kind of editor. Later on,
another member suggested using the "bold" button
to enter the tags, then changing them to read [trigger] (etc.) instead of [B] (etc.). That works, but you can only see the tags if you're in the "text" editor mode.
