Sometimes med cause this state of mind. In a meditative state this innocence is a wonderful thing, but could be scary when drug induced.

If this happened to me I would want to discuss my meds with my psych doc.

I would be interested in discussing other perception differences if that is of interest to you. It is part of eastern training to be more in the moment and that is similar to what you describe except you seem to experience that as "freaking you out" rather than being an aha moment.
