As the day begins I start with the full intent of going, then think about it throughout the day and find a reason not to go, varying from being tired, to afraid, to just want to go home, etc. This has been going on for the past eight months, and I have only gone twice. Anybody have any tips or can help me overcome my anxiety of going to my classes. Thank you.
Can you confide your diagnosis to your class teacher? He might be more understanding than you might expect. I too am bipolar with social anxiety issues, and I find that just telling people I have to interact with helps. You don't have to admit to the bipolar; you can just say you've been diagnosed with some social anxiety issues and am nervous about coming in to class and ask for help. Or is there someone in the class you can "buddy up" with?

Other than those two ideas, perhaps taking a nap before class might help reset your "anxiety meter," or changing the time of day you take meds (but discuss this last one with your psychiatrist, you know!!!!)

Best of luck and know that you are not alone!!!
Thanks for this!
