It's usually a specialist, but your psychiatrist would be able to recommend someone.

It is intensive therapy, usually 2 hours per week for 6 months or more. There is a group session - so you can practice what you're learning - and an individual session - where you can talk about any issues that came up for you in group, or anything that is too personal to talk about with the group. In addition, you do a daily check of your emotions - takes just a few minutes - and note any triggers in a "diary". It's a lot to take in at the beginning, but quickly becomes habit.
