I'm lucky enough to be married for almost 13 years. Yes, there were some rough patches but things have gotten better since my bipolar diagnosis almost a year ago. Before that, I had a hard time controlling my irritability (I didn't know why I was angry most of the time, but took it out on people at home because I knew I couldn't do it at work) and this really took a toll. Now that I'm medicated and aware of why this was happening I'm finding it a lot easier to deal with.

ETA: And therapy has helped an immense amount as well. If it wasn't for my therapist, I'd still be misdiagnosed as having major depression. And we probably all know what depression meds only can do to someone with bipolar....

Effexor ER (generic) 300 mg
Topomax (generic) 100 mg
Klonopin (generic) as needed

High-dose Vitamin D

Trazodone

Taken when misdiagnosed with major depressive disorder:

Prozac
Lexapro
Zoloft
Paxil
