I'm feeling really bad about missing a text from this guy I am dating (not boyfriend....yet!).

He texted me around 7:30pm last night and I didn't see it til 1:30 AM the next morning...I feel just awful. So I sent him back an apology text and explained that my phone was on the charger and I forgot about it for a while, and didn't see it til I checked some odd hours later..

Is that a reasonable thing to do? I hope I didn't put him off from dating me altogether. He's so sweet.
