See, the nice thing about texting is that there is a huge range of time that it's considered totally ok to go without replying.
Sometimes people can reply instantly because the phone is with them and they have time to respond.
Sometimes people can take hours or even not get until the next day because they were out and busy.
If I know that I don't have time to commit to a conversation, I don't reply to texts that would just be chitchat.
