Yes, the idea is to be able to function in society. By that, I mean be able to keep a job, pay the bills, and maybe have a small amount left over for luxuries.
Since I am unable to do that now, that's my goal. Once/If I reach that, goal, I will then look down the road to the next goal. I will not be satisfied with the status quo, ever, really. I will always be looking to learn, improve, and better myself.
And if it's 2 steps forward, and 1 step back, or even 2 steps back sometimes, so be it. Not giving up.
If that's too cliche, or AA, or NA, or 12 steps, or whatever, it's all good. Whatever works. For me.
