Writing is what this site is all about. I find journal writing to be helpful.
Looking into mindfulness may help you get started on your path to recovery. This site and mindful.org are two places to get going. Try not to do too much at first as it can be overwhelming.
An exercise that I work on will have you list three things each night that you liked about your day. It can be as simple as I liked petting my cat. Then read those three things when you awake the next day. Repeat for for 30 days.
