Hey guys,
A couple years ago I went to the hospital because I has my first panic attack. It was a rush of anxiety to my upper chest/ roof of my mouth in my nasal passages that I translated to an allergic reaction or my throat/ nose swelling up (Just to clarify, I have no respiratory issues or have anything that i'm allergic to.) These episodes will last for about 15-20 minutes and will leave me feeling awkward/ queasy and reluctant to sleep. I have been getting these scary episodes a few times a month now and I feel a tightness in my throat. I have felt this feeling for many years after my first panic attack and my therapist translated it as a normal anxiety response. However, it leaves me worrysome and anxious and the fact that I know that I'm causing it drives me even crazier. Does anyone know how to eliminate this feeling/have it themselves? Btw I can swallow and I don't wheeze so like I said, it's not a respiratory issue but it annoys the living hell out of me.
