Hi there,

The orthopod will probably have to send you for an MRI. I had pain and popping behind my left knee and it was a torn meniscus (easilty corrected through arthroscopic surgery). However, the radiating in the front of the thigh is different.

Have patience - they will figure it out. Cortisone injections are normally short lived (3 days to 3 weeks) and aren't usually a permanent solution. But it may be something that some physical therapy will help.
