There was actually one point where I almost asked "projecting much?" but knew it was too snarkey. I didn't want to be rude, but wasn't in a place to effectively think of another way to ask, so I didn't.
I'm pretty sure I'm projecting the frustration and annoyance, but that in doing so, I *am* actually becoming frustrating and annoying.
