Can you remember any coping skills you learned when you were in therapy? I have found when I was in that state of mind, allowing my brain to do what it needed to do helped me a lot. Perhaps get some relaxing things to do that other parts of your brain might enjoy, such as coloring, mazes, stuffed animals, toys, etc. when I give myself allotted time to let my brain do that, it calms me down and I lose less time and things are calmer in my head.
