There is a big difference between straight Seroquel and Seroquel XR.

Who has been managing your psych meds? Your PCP or did you have a Pdoc originally for the other meds? Adderall? Vyvanse?

PCP's just do not know enough about psych meds and there interactions to be prescribing IMHO.

Straight Seroquel in low dose works as a mood stabilizer a higher dose is usually more sedating as previously mentioned.
