I don't know how your phone works.... Can't help you with that. Sorry.

What I do want to add is that noise cancelling headphones aren't necessarily ones that play music.

Also, be careful using music to block the noise. As much as I loved my parents, there were times when I needed to block out the TV or them arguing. Because of their ages, they were slightly hearing impaired. It takes alot of volume to block that level of noise. That's why I suggested the noise cancelling headphones. I'm pretty sure that they require less sound to get rid of outside noises.

I'm not against loud music, by any means. I love loud music, in my car or headphones, though I try to keep the car sound down when I'm in town.
