I could talk until the cows come home about confidentiality, workplace violence/harassment, bullying, expectations, health & safety practices, WHMIS, how to handle being robbed, what to do in an emergency... No issue. However, when employees would ask if I personally have been robbed or in an emergency situation at that job, my answer was yes. I instantly had issues communicating. However, I finally got to a place where answering that was easier. I just rattled off my experience as fast as I could and moved on.
