I have the BPD diagnosis. Have had it for years now and think I had the condition for longer than I have been diagnosed with it. My dad abused me I believe that's why I have this illness. He was severely abusive both Verbally and Physically. No Sexual abuse thank god. The relationship with my dad is still horrible. He still abuses me Verbally all the time. And when Christmas comes around he expects me to come all the way to where he lives in the west Valley to get my presents. I still haven't gotten my present for last Christmas yet. I got the BPD diagnosis when I was homeless when I was finally able to get health insurance and I went to my first actual Psychiatrist. The only other thing I had been to was a Psychologist had never been to a Psychiatrist until I became homeless. I think being homeless worsened my BPD too, because I had to go through that for a year.
