History, philosophy and literature are the big three but theres quite a range such as art history, archaeology, communication, languages, politics and social studies the last is usually something specific like gender studies or a specific culture like Latin America studies. The first three are slightly more valued when comparing arts degrees because in most programmes they require the most work in terms of reading and writing.

Your college or uni will have an academic advisor who can help you with this and they will also know the various workloads of each major. Your college or uni may also have unique degrees that appeal to you more.
