I wrote it to help him better understand the way I think because he is so ridiculously logical he just doesn't get it but after reading this he said it helped him understand me more and that he can't possibly think that many thoughts at one time so he gets how I feel overwhelmed now. And I now understand better how he isn't able to process my constant switching of moods and thoughts. Doing stuff like this together is what helps keep us together in my opinion. It really helps to feel he is trying to understand me and is on my side.
Letter to a non <3
If I told you to feel anxious anytime you leave the house, could you?
Would you be able to ignore the information you have received about time and travel? Though you seem to have enough time to get to work tell yourself you are late and must rush to get the bus!
Alright, then you can just say it you don't have to believe it, yet!
Say to yourself I'm going to get yelled at by the boss or maybe even fired.
Keep thinking about being late, now add to your rotation of thoughts. The people sitting across from you on the bus keep staring at you. Don't look! If you look at them they will say mean things to you.
Check your watch tell yourself you're going to be late then start to think why they are staring at you...
Tell yourself they think your stupid
Tell yourself they are laughing at what your wearing
Tell yourself they think you're ugly
Now don't forget you're still late and those people are still staring at you.
It's time for a couple more thoughts in the rotation.
Tell yourself most people you know do not like you
Tell yourself most people you know try to avoid you
Tell yourself most people you know think you're stupid
Okay, still with me?
You're late and in big trouble, those people haven't stopped staring at you, most people you know avoid and dislike you.
Just a couple more thoughts, I don't want you to go too crazy
Now remind yourself you're pretty sure girlfriend cheated on you
She doesn't hug you often because she gets that affection from another person
She thinks your stupid, ugly and dress weird just like those people staring at you
Now read this every 3 minutes for 20 minutes a day to start and that's how you can take steps to changing your life to be more like mine.
(As difficult as all this sounds for you to implement into your own life, it's just as difficult for me to tell myself NOT to be anxious and NOT to think these thoughts. Thanks for reading love you!)
