I have that noise sensitivity issue too. I nearly lost my marbles when I worked in an office where the phone rang constantly and there were frequent interruptions from other staff. And it wasn't like I could block all the sound out with my iPod, because the phone was often for me. Needless to say, I didn't do well in that environment.
