I was 42 before I got my first tatt....I had wanted one for years but was too scared I guess. I waited until my daughters got some then took the plunge myself.

I opted for a small tribal heart above my right ankle. Then 2 years ago, I had small green leaves put under it with a tiny inverted heart connecting the two leaves.

I would love to get more, not quite sure what I want yet.

My oldest daughter has tribal designs on her legs, and is working on being sleeved. She has a large snake wrapping around one arm, and another snake wrapped around a cross on the inside of her other arm.

My youngest has some tribal designs on her leg, a faiery on her breast and one on the back of her neck (don't remember what that one is though).

I, myself am not into anything large, I like the smaller ones. As for piercings, just 1 hole in each ear (and i never wear earrings now). Not into piercings. The girls have some and have let some close up....eyebrows, nipples, tongue, nose etc.
