hey mellors. looks like we might be in agreement on this one.

i don't see a great deal of difference between male and female circumscision and i'm against both.

(even if female circumscision reduced HIV transmission i'd still be against it particularly with respect to infants who don't have a choice. condoms are far more likely to prevent HIV transmission than circumscision and condoms don't involve mutilation).

different people have their different opinions of course...

i'm kinda semi sorta thinking of how chinese women used to bind their feet because that was considered beautiful... i find the aesthetic arguments around circumscision to be similar. surely preference... is an acquired taste...

dosn't justify mutilation either in the case of binding feet or in the case of removing foreskins or female parts (sorry to tired to remember precisely which parts)
