Be careful. And for me, Xanax made my depression worse so just keep that in mind so if you notice that happening it might be the Xanax.
Relaxation CD's are great too. Especially if done regularly. They keep the adrenaline level down so that when something comes along to bump it up, it doesn't spike it way up and you don't end up in overload. Learning to relax on breathing out is so great because it can be done anywhere, any time and is instantly effective.
