that's an awful story, i really don't know how your dad got away with all this #### for all these years. i would try to distance myself if i were you, its very unhealthy. you probably can't help it although hes there when hes there? Ann will have to learn on her own and it isn't your responsibility to take care of her although it is nice of you to want to help her.
