Thanks Emmy, you can kick the guidance counselor's butt for me. OOOOOH, just spoke more with my daughter and she is totally amazing and has done an awesome job getting her needs met and gettiing teachers to help her. This guidance person accused her of going through the back door etc. Geez like she needs to hear that when all she is trying to do is make this school work for her? You would love my girl, she is learning to advocate for herself and though she told me this story in more debth right now and was close to tears she was very insightful as to why guidance said that to her and shared that the teacher who is especially helping her said he had already spoken with the assistant principal and with the rest of the department and told her; "who cares what guidance says anyway". She has some strong allies there as she is one awesome person and an incredible student. Still fuming but I will get over it I think. Thanks for the validation. My job, well that's another issue but my agency supports me. If the state doesn't back off soon I may be looking into legal recourse. It is abuse!
