I need to amend my answer: I just looked at my EOMB- my T charges my insurance $150.00 for 45 minutes with patient. But she always sees me for 60 minutes.
I didn't realize that she is seeing me longer than her billed amount. :-)

OP, $435 for an hour appointment is outrageous.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with the late David Viscott, M.D. He was a Psychiatrist in L.A. He was a Hollywood-type who had his own late night call in television show in the USA back in the '90's.

He charged $1500.00 to $2000.00 for a two hour taped session.
