Anyone here ever read "Duma Key" by Stephen King? The main character has an accident at the beginning of the book that causes him to have memory problems. Every time I read the book and his struggles with straightening out his memory I think of trying to cope with fibro fog.
I thought I'd share one of the things he does. King calls it "thinking sideways." When the character can't remember something he will think of something that connects "sideways" to something else starting a series of associations until he gets to what he was trying to remember. I realized I do something similar when stuck for a word or a memory. Anyone else do something similar?
