I do this all the time - like it's how I think - and I actually would say it's normal (or at least not abnormal lol). I think it speaks to you perhaps having a heightened awareness to actions/reactions, and being a deep thinker/ introspective. Also, a little self talk would actually do everyone some good if they thought before they spoke. More people should do it.
