Long-sleaved work shirts may be the ticket, or if she notices you could just be vague and not say that you did it. I've been noticing that people don't really ask me about my scars and wounds. Maybe trying to hide them just makes them more suspicious. I've had a few people ask about my big purple bandages on both arms from guanaco bites, but I'm surprised how few. So, even if they do see it, that doesn't necessarily mean that they know how it got there, and everyone gets owies from time to time. Have you ever sat down and tried to calculate how many legitimate vs. self-inflicted scars you have? It's probably a mix, right? How do you feel about the natually-acquired scars?
