When will your dad be back? I'd say for now, that there's nothing you can do. You tried giving her the money, and she didn't accept it. Like you said, you got permission to sell. You needed the money. You tried to rectify the situation. It's unfortunate that your mother is upset, but you shouldn't feel guilty. Hopefully your mother eventually gets through being upset, but there's not a lot you can do beyond what you've already done.
