You could get a sat nav to help you with the driving and not knowing where you're going. Either that or what's the public transport like? You should try and make it to them, you enjoy them from what I've read and it would be great for building up your confidence and alleviating some of your social anxiety.

I was just thinking, do you like music? I think I remember you saying you're into music, I could be mistaken. But if you are, do you have a favourite band? I'm a big Metallica fan and joined their fan club about 8 years ago. I was fairly active on their message boards for a couple of years and got to know people online through that, well then I started to go to shows and through the metclub forums I've met (irl) some of the nicest people and people I would now call my dear friends. This was all through organised meet ups at shows, pre/post show parties, loads of stuff. I've travelled Europe with these guys and our first point of contact was the metclub forums. I even went to Moscow to see Metallica with other metclubbers!

What I'm saying is, it's possible to find people, you won't be alone forever. I can tell from talking to you here that you're a very intelligent, funny, kind and caring person who'd be right craic to hang around with. If you have a favourite band, or know a band that's gigging texas, join their message boards and get chatting. That's if you're into that of course. I hope I don't sound so preachy, I'm just trying to help!
