Hi, i have severe sleeping problems which in the past were treated with mirtazapine. For some reason i quit the mirta (i thought my fatigue was because of the mirta but i think i exhausted myself during hypomanic episode). After almost one year of depression, hospitalisation, unable to work, i am on lexapro (escitalopram) and for sleep in take quitiapine (seroquel) 25mg. but the seroquel just works about 6 hours and i wake up. i still have some mirtazapine (remeron) which even in 15 mg dose helps me sleep very well. I cannot reach my pdoc at the moment but would it be safe to combine the 5mg of escitalopram with 15mg mirtazapine. for the time being until the escitalopram starts to work and hopefully relieves my anxiety, stress and depression and hopefully i sleep well again without sleeping medication.

Dx: Mix anhedonia with Bipolar II. Add some insomnia and chronic stress. Season with paroxetine and a pinch of ADD. Stir well to induce a couple of hypo/manic episodes. After the excess of energy is gone, remove the Paroxetine and serve chilled with some C-PTSD and GAD. Ready is your MDD.

Mx: To clean up the mess use lamotrigine, r
isperidon, mirtazapine and sertraline. Let it soak in for a while but keep a close eye on it. Meanwhile enjoy your desert of oxazepam/temazepam prn.
