It is said that psychosis linked to depression and those suffering bipolar can experience :-

1) lost touch with reality
2) a total lack of judgement

If a person is suffering from the above do you think there is a greater risk of them making mistakes or behaving in ways which are totally out of character ?

Does emailing or texting somebody create a an experience where it is easier to be out of touch with reality than by sitting down with somebody and talking face-to-face ?

In the impersonal world of texts and emails rather than communication by speech, can it actually cause the sufferer to become even more out of touch with reality ?
Thanks for this!
