I haven't stopped taking daytrana (I've never been on it), but I've stopped stimulants many times with no significant issues. You don't even really need to taper off. Don't cut your patch in half!! It's really, really dangerous. Ask your pharmacist or doc if you don't believe me. Ask for a lower dose or another med if you want to taper off. If you cut the patch, you cut the drug molecules and could erroneously release more medication than you intended, resulting in essentially an overdose. Don't do this.
