Through my Internship work (I am a psychology student) I have helped people discern the difference by understanding that suicidal idealization is a
preoccupation, less invasive, as opposed to a suicidal
impulse. Both are serious in nature and very, very difficult to walk around with. My heart goes out to you. I hope you found this helpful.
