You guys filled up the couch while I was working! No fair!!!

I'm 41 years old, a single mom to a 17 and 6 year old, had this job for 8 years but there's no room for advancement without a degree. Back to school for a bachelor's (doesn't matter what it's in, could be underwater basket weaving!) to get a promotion at this place. That will only net me a 10% increase above my current salary, which will not begin to pay off the bachelor's. And that position has a HUGE turnover because it sux. So. . .

I agree, any job is better than no job, but this job is going nowhere fast, and I'm tired of settling. Thanks for your reality check, though, I need to do all the checks and balances.
