Yup they do still get the measles because there are still parents out there that either don't believe for religios reasons and whatever, or because the child has other health problems where getting the measles immunization would cause major health problems (allegic to serum base ect..). my friends children just got the measles even though they were imunized against it. the physician said the imunization does not always prevent it but will make the getting them less severe in some children and adults.

I heard on the news in one state they are now having measles epidemics because some one was traveling while unknowingly contagious and when he figured it out went to the ER and of course everyone in that ER was then exposed. so now the news is saying DONT go to the ER for things like measles first. To FIRST call ahead if you think you have something anything contaagious, so that they can make arrangements so that no one else gets exposed to you.

Scarey. but kind of glad these type of precautions are starting to be put in place at ER's with the threat of terrorism and Biowarfar crap being in the news and stuff these days.
