Meditation and relaxation techniques are both forms of hypnosis.
You NEVER want to take away all of the pain. Pain serves a purpose. But using self-hypnosis everyday to teach your mind and body how to connect is a very good start. Then I would suggest you find a Certified Hypnotherapist in your area that is trained in HypnoAnesthesia and Pain managment. Ask them to teach you the techniques that you need to know.
Remember you get what you reinforce. If you think, act and believe positive - you WILL get positve.
