Hello Nanou, welcome to Psych Central.

First of all, we are not professionals here, we are a peer-led group, so you need to be checking with your own doctor really.

As with all medications, there are side effects, the side effects usually become more manageable over time or settle down completely. You say you have been taking this for 5 years now, are these new symptoms? Here is a link to all about Cipralex and the side effects are listed >>> Cipralex (escitalopram) It does not say anything about ringing in the ears but does say side effects may include fatigue, vision disturbances, increased sweating but nothing about causing headaches. It may be that there is something else going on to cause these symptoms you have or it may be time for an adjustment or change in medication. It is worth going back to your doctor about this.
