Nothing to stop a consumer from publishing a list of rotten apples nationally or worldwide on the web. If I ever needed it I would use it as one tool for finding a therapist.

A friend of mine published a negative review of her psychiatrist through one of the rate your doctor's and it was removed along with two other negative reports. Reviews I have done locally of a school (rated one of the best in the nation in US News, and Newsweek) was taken down twice. So, I don't trust the review sites.

So, I might put a little more stock in a grassroots list.
